Hey great! Thanks, Rob, that worked perfectly. I wonder how that one event got switched to NOT show a description field?
I did use backup and restore to move my database to the new computer. View > Master Lists > Event Definition, then select Military Service and select Edit. Then check the box next to "Show Description Field". (You can also get to the same screen from the drop down arrow next to any event). Although this should fix this specific problem, it is probably just fixing one symptom, not the cause. How did you transfer your files to the new machine? It is safest to back up from within Legacy on the old machine, and then restore within Legacy on the new machine. This way all the settings associated with that database get transferred as well.
