Ed...There are "marriage tags" in the database but no tools for manipulating them. There is no "clear marriage tags" function so they must be cleared one at a time other than making a backup before using them and then returning to the backup to achieve a cleared status. It would be great to be able to set the marriage tags for all records in the search results or every marriage on the paternal lineage, etc. I would really like to be able to extract from my large database the potential DNA test candidates for any given progenitor. That involves finding only father-to-son connections to trace the y-chromosome transmittal. It is not too difficult with English style surnames but is very hard without a fixed surname going back in time. Anyway, we really need a few tools that can act on the marriage tags and make them useful. Again, thanks for your replies.
