You can use 'about' or 'circa' - see Customise/Dates for abbreviations.

Hello LegacyUsers,

In one of the genealogy books that I just bought, it has listed many
death dates in this format - 1820s, for instance, when the exact date of
death is not known. Legacy shows all entries like that as potential
problems. Is there a proper way to display something like this? I was
thinking that maybe it should be 1802-1829, but I'm not sure if that is
correct either. Thanks
