Hi Frances,

The only way I can reproduce what you are getting is if (under Event Narrative Format on the Format tab of the Report Options) I have Use List Style Formatting chosen (then Bullet point each event).

Note that you don't have [Sources] in your sentence override so your event won't be sourced.

If you are sure you have the right options chosen, I suggest you reset the report options and select everything again - or Close Legacy. In your Legacy Program folder delete DescNarr.usr (reset doesn't always seem to fix a corrupt .usr file). Open Legacy and re choose your options.

Hope that helps,
Cathy

Dennis and Cathy:

First: Cathy--I had checked Use Event Sentence Formatting--Bullet point each
event.

Second: Dennis--Here is an example--

Sentence override: John worked at the US Patent Office while in law school
in Washington. He was a patent attorney for Allis-Chalmers from 1912 until
his death. He was their general patent attorney from 1944.
Event: Occupation
Description: Patent Attorney
Date: 1906 to 1946
Place: Washington, D.C., Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We're going to need more info. To start with...

What does the override look like?

What are you entering for Event, Desc, Date, Place, and Notes?
