Paula - Using the child status list is a good idea; I'll have to look into that. By "the place name list" I simply meant a location field (that then becomes part of the master locations list). In the past, I'd had abbreviations that were in those fields along with the location information (e.g., "d.i.; Fayette County, Illinois, USA"). Obviously, it makes geographic sorting and verification problematic doing it that way (even if the information is understandable when you read it).
cheers, Kirsty :-) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paula Ryburn Sent: Saturday, June 25, 2005 7:48 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] died in infancy; died young Kirsty, I have them in my child status list. "Died in childhood." "Died in infancy." Did it a while back, but I believe my motivation was it looked good on book reports. I probably did not test out options with the death date field (or corresponding potential problems), so I don't know how that looks on reports. And I'm not sure what you meant by "the place name list"...? --Paula Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
