This is my first post to this list and I certainly don't want to offend anyone, but I have to say the read receipt requests don't bother me nearly as much as all the posts complaining about them. Here's an idea, rather than calling people names (many of whom are elderly and not computer savvy), why don't you just click "No" to the read receipt? It takes far less time than the attack you just wrote.

I wish the listowner would kick all the jerks who insist on ignorantly using return reciept on EVERY post off the list. Please do not send me any emails telling me how to turn off the return receipt notification. I know how to do that but do not wish to. I have one correspondent who uses it and has a good
reason for using it. There is no good reason to use it on a mailing list.
Please listowner, do something about these idiots once and for all. Thank
you.

Sue
