MS Access may or MAY NOT be included in your
97 or 2000 bundle. There is a less expensive and
an expensive bundle. Access is only in the expensive
one, usually not the bundle included w/ PC purchase.

Plus it is a program for advanced users not novices.
Since you don't know if you have it or not, I would
guess you are a novice, at least in Access.

Balance the costs and benefits of purchase and
use of Access before you commit.

If you decide to use Access, prepare yourself. Go to
the library and book store and read, read, read first.
Then practice, practice, practice with non Legacy
databases. And lastly make several backups of your
Legacy database, before you start playing with it.

Thank you for the responses. I have the Word 97 bundle tucked away
somewhere, that's why I wondered if it came with Word. But obviously 97 is
too old. I gave the 2000 bundle to my daughter. When I bought my last
computer, I finally had a choice and it came without.

Sounds like there's a high learning curve with Access, so it's not for me.

Thank you for the advice,

If you are not familiar with it, I would not recommend it to play and

change

things with. It is safer (and a much lower technical overhead) to use
Legacy.

And ask for the things we need to do in Legacy 6.0!
