<DIV>I am having problems following the download of
the latest Legacy 5 DeLuxe update. The build date is
12 June 2005, and I use Windows XP.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am unable to open individual family records and
unable to add individuals to the family file. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I started troubleshooting, by downloading
vsocx6.ocx and legacy.exe.local, which made no
difference. Then I deleted all .usr files as
recommended, but couldnt download the current update
again as payment was required. I have undeleted the
.usr files and have lost loads of data as the database
has reverted to an earlier version, although I still
have all the DeLuxe features.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have tried to open a backup file but this also
loses all the settings and relevant information and
reverts to the earlier version.
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Help file includes the following
advice:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Q. How can I re-download Legacy 5.0 Deluxe
without having to pay for it again?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>A. Simply download the Free Standard edition and
install it. The Deluxe features are hidden inside the
free standard edition. To unlock the Deluxe features,
start the program and click on <B>Help > Unlock Legacy
Deluxe</B>. Follow the prompts and click the
<B>Unlock</B> button.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>As nothing has worked so far I am reluctant to
download the standard edition and wonder if anybody
else is having trouble with the new DeLuxe update or
can give me some advice.</DIV>
Thank you in advance.
