I have been using Geoff's CD's to add my sources. I am using XP,
current build of Legacy Deluxe and using a laptop and a desktop. When I
add a source to the name on the laptop, the name turns red to indicate
that there is a source attached as expected. When I do it on my desktop
there is no change.
I compared the settings and can't find a box that's not "ticked" on my
desktop. It's a very convenient feature and I'll like to use it on my
desktop. I'm sure that there is something obvious and it's like my car
keys that I can never see in front of me. Could anyone in this great
group give me a shove in the right direction? Thanks!

Jennifer,
Use the Options, Customize menu and click on the colours tab. In
the lower right is a button marked defaults, if you hover over
that it should say reset colours to defaults. Pressing that
should set Legacy back to the standard colours and colour
behaviour. The big default button on the bottom will reset all
the options to their defaults.
By the way, what do you mean by name? In my version of Legacy
Deluxe it is the name of the event/data that changes colour not
the name of the person. i.e. When a source is applied to the
birth event the name "birth" on the edit individual screen
changes to red. There is no indication on the person's listing in
the family screen that shows which events have sources attached
except that the sources icon under their name changes from black
and white to coloured.
