Jennifer,

Why not just export to a new Legacy File (deselecting the option to export
Private Individuals - which will export them, but with the name "Private"
and no details) and then you can easily locate the "Private" names in the
Name List and delete them with Advance deleting.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Private individuals exported to gedcom 5.5

Jennifer,
My workaround was to create the GEDCOM, open the GEDCOM in a new Legacy
file, search for, tag, and delete all persons labeled Private, then export
the "scrubbed" file to another GEDCOM. -- Alice

When I export my Legacy data to a Gedcom 5.5 only, even though I have NOT
selected 'export private individuals', it does export them. <snip> Is there
a work around?
