Yahoo's "briefcase" might be a consideration. I don't use it, but a friend does and stores quite a bit of data in the yahoo briefcase, believe the free is set at so many MBs and that there may be a paid version with more storage.
I prefer storing to an external hard drive, CDs and DVDs, use them all, always hopeful that at least one will work when and if needed.
