Hi Jim,

I've used the Search and Replace screen to fix this very type of thing many times, works wonderfully and flawlessly. Saves all lot of re-typing. It works in many areas of your data such as source details, events, etc, etc. for both a quick fix for a type-o or changing complete sentences. Not sure how much data can actually fit in the Search and Replace fields, but I have successfully used it for fixing or editing small paragraphs (such as in census transcriptions and picture descriptions) many times.

Kind regards,
Dan Bateham

Sherry,

I agree that the event clipboard was a major step in the right direction and, in fact, use it to create pseudo linked events. But creating them is not the issue. Let's say that I add 40 family members who attended a wedding. I create a list, add the event to the first person, then copy it via the event clipboard to the other 39. Takes a while but saves a lot of time. Ten minutes later I realize that I misspelled weddin and need to correct. This time it is either repeat the clipboard or do 40 edits. That's my definition of bulky.

Jim
