It may do more, but I use it because it puts a flag that tells me I have looked 
and not found children. It puts the note on the main page. on some reports I 
remember it printing, but I am not sure. May be one of the descendant reports. 
Take one of your candidates, print to preview each of them. Use a small group.

I thought selecting "this couple had no children" on the marriage info 
screen placed something to that effect in the Descendant Book report but 
I don't see it.  Am I missing something or is no action taken even tho 
the box is checked? Do I have to do an even for each of these couples in 
the database? I could have sworn something used to generated.
