I'm trying to make a Gedcom to transfer some information to another program, can I do this by tagging? or do I have to create a focus group.

Of course, if you've got 'side' lines attched to those descendants and you want to export those families too - go to the earliest individual and do the same thing -
with the same tag number.  Saves hours!!!

I am using Ver 5.

PS:  You can also go to Descendants View - Options - customise columns and
make one column a Tag # column. That way it will show up (with the proverbial X) in the Descendants View for each individual with that tag number. If you find
one has been missed, click on 'Edit' and tag with your chosen number.
