Hi Simon,

I haven't tried it but it looks to me that if your documents are stored as jpg or similar that they could be added to a scratchbook which the publishing center in v6 can add to your book.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Adding documents or appendixes to reports

Hi everyone,

Apart from the 'Note' function, is there any way of attaching documents
to individuals in reports?

For instance, several of my "characters" have numerous documents such as
Court cases, Deeds, Wills etc. These are too long, and too many of, to
add into a single note function.

What I am looking for is the ability to import and attach these
documents as separate pages, or appendix(es), to print after the notes
and sources of an individual. With the option of selecting the
appendixes or not in the report options.

If this function or similar is already part of Legacy can someone please
guide me to it. If not could it be considered in future upgrades?

An 'Appendix' function where each imported document, deed etc., is
allocated a separate page, appearing in a list, each document basically
being a separate 'Note'. With the ability to arrange them in the list in
a selected order as one adds more documents, just to keep them in a
logical date or subject order.

An advancement on this would to be able to import pictures or scans as
well into the "Appendix" function, such as scans of birth certificates etc.

And as I suggest, with the option of adding to reports after any notes
and sources, printing as individual pages for each document.

Of course one has the ability to print a report to file, and then adding
other documents in Word, but I would prefer to see my genealogy program
to do as much as possible without too much further editing in other
programs.

Regards

Simon
