I'd support this suggestion. I'm still using v.5 and one of the things
putting me off upgrading at present is the prospect of a lengthy download on
dial-up.

Like Dennis (see his later message) I don't use the Geo database; and having
spent some years doing research, buying reference books, belonging to FH
societies, reading their journals and many mailing lists, I already have a
pretty good idea of which sources are likely to be of help to me. All I need
in a program is a reliable database that will produce reasonable reports and
charts from time to time - and I'd still think Legacy was good value, even
without the bells and whistles.

Does anyone know what the file RG.dat is for?

It appears to be new in V6. It is an 18mb file and slows down Legacy update
quite a bit. I am guessing it is something to do with Research Guidance? If
so, it would be nice if it could be made optional (like the Geo database).
