Last night my notes and sources disappeared! When I would click on an
individual to edit it would be blank. I have a lot more grey hair this
morning!! I closed Legacy then reopened it. All my notes and sources
were there and the individuals information was showing. I have the
latest Legacy update and Windows XP Home. I did notice that Legacy was
running slow, there seemed to be a slight pause before each
window/view opening. My PC seems to be working great otherwise. This
morning Legacy is running fine and everything is where it is supposed
to be. This really worries me. Is something wrong with Legacy 6?

Hi Barbara,
One of the reason that most of the hair on my head is still naturally
not grey is that I've learned not to sweat the small stuff, and I've
learned that it's all small stuff ;)
There are a number of possibilities for the cause of your blank screens.
Most likely is the lack of available memory, whether it be physical or
virtual memory. Without knowing your system, it's hard to speculate.
It's possible that you had too much going on at the time and didn't have
enough resources to display the information. Due to its intensive
nature, Legacy can use a lot of your computer resources.
What I deal with every day is computers that have slowed down for one
reason or another. Usually it's that are infested with malware
(malicious software) that consumes computer resources. It may also be
that your computer doesn't have a lot of available resources for
everything that was going on at the time. Anti-virus or anti-spyware
scans can also use up a lot of resources when they are running. It's
best to schedule them for times when the computer is not being used.
