Ed: If you have the selected Source copied to the clipboard, then you can do the following:
1. In the Family view, Open the individual for editing. 2. On the left side there are 4 buttons (up arrow, - sign, 3 - signs, solid box), that do the following: A. up arrow -- select another source B. - sign - assigns source to field that you are position in if it has data C. 3 - sign - assigns source to all fields that has data for person (THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT) D. solid box - assigns source to Unspecified category I think the answer to your question is 2 C above.
