I'm not familiar with Generations and its charts but since you
can combine various charts into one, you could start with a
descendant chart from yourself (or any other person in the file)
then add in an ancestor chart and edit the combination to make an
hourglass chart. By adding additional charts together you can
probably duplicate any design you wish.
For a family reunion I produced a descendant chart of all the
descendants of my maternal grandparents then added in each of
their ancestor charts to make an hourglass style chart based on
that couple.
Treedraw allows you to move every element of the chart around and
includes drawing tools so you can re-connect the elements
afterwards in any way you choose. One thing it lacks however is
smart connections between people. When you reorganize a family
layout the lines between the parents and children do NOT move
with the people boxes.
The nice thing is that all of the chart elements such as names,
dates, locations etc. are linked to your data and each time you
reopen the chart those elements are updated from your data.
The only thing it will not do is add in new elements after the
chart is built but you can do that manually then link the added
text to the new data. For example if you were missing a birth
date/location on initial creation, Treedraw will not add that
when updating a chart but you can add the text manually then link
it to the person and birth info so it will update in the future.
The same thing can be done for added spouses and children or they
can be imported individually (that way all their data is linked
correctly) then placed where they belong in the chart.

Does Treedraw do an all blood relative chart like the Generations
Enhanced Hourglass chart?
