Bill; Because the choices for you search criteria are: Equal to, Before, After and Not equal to, I would think it impossible to search the way you want to. Seems you need a search that is "Contains..."
To search for Aug 12 with out the year the date is not equal to 12 Aug 1972. The key to your anniversary coming up in the search is the added year making the search "Equal to" Karen V.
