I have the same situation - the preposition field is no longer present on the Add/Edit location screen. But when you highlight a location on the master list there is a comment below the scrolling part of the window that gives both the short name and the preposition.

On old locations when I highlight one, the comment for a preposition does whow in in the Lower left corner near where the Short name comment shows, but the fields in the upper left corner are only the Long Name and the Short name. The Prepostion field should be right before the Long Name field. Has anyone else noticed this Prepostion field missing?
