Oh, yes, I agree very much. One of the nice features of Generations
was that there was more than one executable for "the program" or
the application. So when you were using what they called Easy Tree
you did all those database operations. Then there was a menu item
that said make a chart. If you selected that, it gave you a dialog box
to specify how to make the chart. Then it fired up the Easy Chart
program which took your specifications and made the chart. It worked
a lot like Tree Draw does now, only was MUCH more tightly coupled
to the "main" app. and that was one (only one) reason why it was easier
to use than tree draw.
