Has anyone experimented to find the "best" sizes for pictures included in Legacy 6 reports saved as RTF? This affects scanning and linking of pictures from the beginning of a family project. A report looks untidy if every face picture is a different size and shape.

I have done a little with embedding which resulted in different size pictures at different location within the document. Some pictures were very difficult to move to another location. Dragging and dropping would not do it.

Having to do that much work, I will NOT embed unless something gets fixed here but rather place the picture at or near the place holder myself, size as appropriate.

For a simple example, I might want all individual pictures to print one inch wide and all group pictures, maps & documents to print six inches wide. Each picture available for birth, christening, marriage, death and burial will need a *custom* event to be included in a Legacy report.

To accomplish something like that it would require a lot of programming options. Some pictures may be better if larger to show some details that a simpler picture doesn't require. The combinations are endless.

PDF reports with one size of picture are not suitable for a family project with a lot of group pictures.
That is why a word processor with PDF generating capabilities is the best way to satisfy this situation. There are standalone PDF generating programs, either free or very reasonable.
