I'm still using V5 as 6 didn't appear to have much to offer for *my* needs. However, that said, my curiosity is getting the best of me and I shall be upgrading very soon. Looks like that will address this problem.

Appreciate the response........

Tom,

Which version of Legacy do you have? This is an old problem that's been
fixed.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Descendant book

Perhaps someone can tell me what is happening here. I am not a Word person
as I have always used Word Perfect for my processing needs.
However I do have a copy of WP97 on my computer in order to make the
occasional (Legacy) descendant book but there is (always) this problem. All female descendants are formatted like this: "Fviii.Ethel Minerva Noon".
With cursor in front of the F, a tap on the space bar will format the
individual correctly: "F viii. Ethel Minerva Noon". There is no such
problem with the male entries. Is this Word doing this? Or me doing
something wrong? Or perhaps peculiar to Word 97? Legacy? Anyone have an idea how it might be corrected????? Any help appreciated....................

Tom M.........
