I don't think you can merge marriages. It looks like you have accidentally added a second marriage instead of adding an alternate marriage date to an existing marriage. What I suggest you do is open the marriage list; select the first marriage, press the edit button and add an alternate marriage date then go to the second marriage and press the options button, this brings up a list of choices including "remove the marriage link".

That will leave you with one marriage between the couple but you will have preserved the second date you now have in your file. Of course if the second date you have is bogus then all you have to do is select the second marriage and use the remove the marriage link option.
