I've been watching these messages about Legacy freeze-ups with interest. I have been having much trouble with that since I downloaded the final update of Legacy 5 last summer. I have XP and it happens when I'm working in events and adding sources. I've communicated extensively with Legacy support and followed directions to reboot, do file maintenance, uninstall and reinstall, remove .usr files, disk maintenance and cleanup, virus and adware checks, and so on. It still happens. Very discouraging.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy Freeze-Ups

These things must be contagious !

Until today, I have had no Legacy freeze-ups. Until today ...

I used Legacy today in no way differently than I have for the last number of days or months .. adding and modifying records.

But today I get Legacy freezes! Always on saving Individual records. If I wait long enough ... "Runtime error 5. Invalind Procedure call or argument".

I have done the following ...

1. Hot reboot.
2. Cold reboot.
4. Database check/repair.
5. Database check/repair.
6. Database check/repair.
7. Legacy uninstall and install (6.0.0.73).
8. Legacy uninstall and install (6.0.0.73).

Still happening and getting worse, I think ...
