I have kept my Bk6 file on the computer and when I find an unrelated
person in Legacy i go back to the BK data base and then a have to put
in the witness into the Marriage Note field and put a note in the
General Note field for the witness to say why he/she is in the data base.
I do wish Legacy allowed some way of connecting witnesses to events
or people; and I found the Note fields in BK6 better than those in Legacy too

I imported a Gedcom with data which I had entered originally in Brother's
Keeper. I've added/altered the data significantly and have just realized
that the witnesses to various events are only linked to the event by a
seemingly erroneous number such as _EVN 2124.
My two questions are: 1) How do I find out to which event/person that this
'description' refers to - what event is and who does it refer to? and 2) How
do I enter witnesses to an event. For example, how do I enter the witnesses
at a baptism?
I tried to export my data into a Gedcom and re-import it back into Brother's
Keeper in order to create a 'witness list'. However, all my witnesses are
gone; the export has not identified the individuals as witnesses to any
events.
Please help....there is no way to back-track on this one.
Thanks
