Terry, I only have one sort of similar case in my tree, and that is for a fisherman who died. I have placed "At Sea, La Have Bank, Nova Scotia, Canada" in the location of death. In my short location, I wrote "at sea on La Have Bank, Nova Scotia." I am able to do a Search/find for the word Sea, and it appears. I do not have the Geo... database enabled or County names enabled so I am not troubled by error messages. A GEDCOM export yields: "Death: Oct 1879 in At Sea, La Have Bank, Nova Scotia, Canada." This location sorts nicely by country, etc. So I would think in your case you probably will want to omit it from Error reports. I think if you do an entry similar to above, you will be okay, and it would be understandable in a file transfer. You may want to fix the pronoun for your Legacy reports. I would put it as At Sea, [Body of Water], British Columbia, Canada. Then jazz up short location to be a little more readable for your reports (if you use Short Locations). And then in the notes, I would add the lovely detail about the cruise ship, coordinates, etc. I might even change "At Sea" to "Aboard the Star Princess Cruise Ship" or something like that. After you do this, check your reports to see if you like how it reads. By the way - only a genealogist would get into this predicament, LOL!!
