Any Family File you have in any previous version of Legacy will open in
Legacy v6. If you have the latest build of Legacy v5, then there will be no conversion process. If you have earlier builds there probably will be and if
you have earlier versions of Legacy there definitely will be, which means
that if for some reason you want to share the file(s) with someone else who
has an earlier version of Legacy, you'll need to create a gedcom and send
them that.
