That would be because you probably have your email program set to reply in
the same format as the original message.  As all messages on the list are
plain text, if this is the case when you reply it will be sent in plain
text.  You can also set the send behaviour for specific addresses in your
Contacts List.  Double Click on the address in the Contact's 'card' - an
email properties box will appear.  Near the bottom select "Send Plain Text
only".

Thanks Dennis. I just changed my OE options to send messages in plain text 
format and not html which is probably why my other posts din't get through. 
Somehow when I "replied" to a message it did get through.
