Subject: RE: NG Re: [LegacyUG] Article on Family Tree

It has suddenly become clear why Legacy's program deficiencies, oversights,
and bugs have been lingering for several years. It's now clear why users
have been seduced to buy a new program version that contains a number of
features of marginal value to most users and does little to overcome the
myriad existing flaws.

It now appears that Millenia Corporation is moving even farther away from
supporting mainstream genealogists in favor of supporting a specific
organization. For the many Legacy users whose pleas, over the past several
years, remain unresolved, this seems foreboding.

There are new programs in the marketplace that may well represent greater
value to the serious user; genealogy software for people who are truly
interested in the quest and documentation of information on his or her own
family, rather than plucking just any genealogy data that can be found.

It may be time for re-evaluation.
