I have been a long time Deluxe customer, and overall I am extremely happy
with all aspects of Legacy. There are many of the new bells and whistles
that I don't use, but if they make other users happy I'm not complaining.
However, I have made repeated requests for a couple of seemingly simple
changes to reports - and every time there is an update I eagerly check to
see if any of them have been incorporated into the new version. Sadly, I am
always disappointed. So, just in case they have disappeared into the mists
of time or cyberspace, I will make my plea again.
1. In Descendant Register reports we have some wonderful wording options
regarding the children sentences (Wording 1). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE could
we have exactly the same options in the Descendant Narrative Report?
2. Quoted given names are not removed in all instances where they appear -
e.g. list of children from a marriage always shows - They had the x
children: Janet Kay "Jan", William Robert "Bill" etc etc.; also when
[couplenames] is used as a field.
3. Quoted given names are not used in all instances where they could be -
e.g. in event sentences. They seem to work for BDM events, but not any
others.

Now a couple of new problems I've noticed since the latest update:
1. It doesn't seem to matter which report I create (Descendant register,
Descendant Narrative), nor whether it is an RTF report or just printed to
screen, I am getting a blank page after the title page. It also seems that
the page numbering goes 1 (title page) 2 (blank) then 4 (start of report) -
no sign of 3.
2. I have set my page setup options (within Legacy) not to indent each
generation - but it always does.

I will keep my fingers crossed that the next update will include fixes for
the three problems I've been reporting at various times for at least two
years, possibly longer. And hopefully I won't have to wait as long for a
fix for the new problems.

Cheers
Jan
