Thanks, once the Legacy-compatible version is out (apparently soon)this

Short of Legacy adding this function in the future, try Clooz
http://www.clooz.com/. It is not too expensive and works well. You would
have to add all your records by entry, unless Clooz has and import for
your
spreadsheet. Still the best would be to have it in Legacy.

This is the only feature I miss since switching from Generations, and it
forces me to keep an Excel spreadsheet of all sources outside Legacy.
(I'm not an Access expert)

Does anyone else have a better work around?  I track all sources by the
sequential file ID number as well as filing the paper that way.  I've
already renamed many sources to make them easier to find, but I have about
400 and some are for more than one purpose/family, etc.  So far the best
I've figured out is to make a PDF File ID report and then use "find" in
Acrobat Reader.  There HAS to be a better way!
