You are right that is what I am trying to do. I am experimenting with you method, but, Legacy will not let me set the default path from the laptop to the network shared folders on the desktop. I was able to change the data folder on the laptop by selecting it with open file command, and it automaticly decame the default in the options path for folders. However, I can't figure out how to select the picture path in the shared folders from the laptop, can you bail me out of this one too.

Intellishare is ideal to use when more than one researcher is working on the same database. It lets one of the parties maintain the database and send refreshed copies to the others. I have my Legacy database on my desktop and I shared it. When I'm using my laptop (most of the time), I access the shared database.
