That's what the "Research Guidance Tab" is supposed to be. The trouble is, the higher and fatter your brick wall, the less use it is. I once wrote a research guidance program (I've probably still got it on disk somewhere). It was intended for beginners to genealogy, to help them get interested and get started. It was based on a crude hypertext engine (before the web wass available). The web and search engines now do what my program was intended to do. And from what I've seen of the "Research Guidance" thingy, it is a lot like "Gensmart", if not a direct crib -- it too recommends the Allen County Public Library (wherever that may be) as some kind of panacaea for all genealogical ills. It's a bit like training wheeels on a bicycle -- once you've learnt to ride the thing, they just get in the way, so you take them off. -- Steve Hayes E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.geocities.com/hayesstw/stevesig.htm Phone: 083-342-3563 or 012-333-6727 Enter the drawing for a FREE Legacy Cruise to Alaska or a FREE research trip to Salt Lake's Family History Library.
