It shouldn't make any difference. You just have to make sure your computer
is properly configured for your broadband and their support will help you
with that.

I've downloaded Legacy updates to my laptop from my at home broadband, hotel
rooms, and wi-fi access points with no problem.

I have recently acquired a broadband account on a different IP.  Is  there
anything I should do to be sure Legacy 6 Deluxe will recognize me and  allow
updates from my new IP?  
 
Since I have to start over anyway due to the fix for Run Time Error  380,
might it be a good idea to delete Legacy 6 Deluxe and start all over  with a
fresh copy of Legacy6.exe?   -- Alice
