The best method for blended families is to use a report method or wall chart 
that allows custom events (Memo or similar short label) to explain non-bio 
or complicated relationships. Cousin requested that her divorce date be 
included in the ancestor chart for her grandchildren.

File owners probably want the "different" child status of adopted, step or 
foster to show but not the assumed bio relationship of all other children. 
Some genealogy programs use/d the word natural for the default status. 
Natural is used for children of unmarried couples in some early sources.
