Hmm... my math isn't what it used to be, but a little playing around with smaller numbers is indicating to me that if you compare each pair of twins with every other pair you've got recorded, the formula will be n*(n-1); where n=18, that makes 306 checks - but I suspect you will find some checks to be not necessary as you progress and note a pattern in some places, or positions on your tree to be close enough to spot without the check.
Something to work through slowly when inspiration grabs you, I suspect. :-)

Yes, you did, LOL!! Personally, I had no idea you could label sets of twins in this manner before, so have learned a new "trick". Thanks for that. :-)
