Hmm, this sounds like at least one bug was fixed.  Thanks very much.
I recall folks on this list getting bit by that bug and others telling them
what to do to work aound that bug.

Using euphemisims such as "improved the code" and "works
better" just kinda obscures the fact the the code had a problem
which has now been fiixed, I think. Maybe it wasn't a bug, though.
it was "unintentionally degraded code?"
