Correcting typos in Source Detail is easy. I too often have to do it.
Sometimes because I now have access to better census images via the
internet than the ones I saw on film or were kindly emailed to me.
Use the Search and Replace
Where to look: Citation - Details (or Citation - Text ... There is
this vocab change from Source Detail to Citation)
What to look for: a phrase which includes the typo
Replace with: the phrase with the correction
How to find: I mostly use "anywhere in field"
How to replace: Replace only found text with replacement text
If you are confident you've chosen a large enough phrase to search on
that it is unique to that source detail and then replace with the
correction, you can choose, Replace All.
Otherwise, take a look at each instance found and choose to Replace or skip.
Cheers,
Cathy

I agree 100% with this one. This is the reason I put the majority of my
sources as Master instead of Detail. It makes for more sources but that
doesn't concern me as much as the time it takes to find and correct each
detail citation instead of just one Master every time I make a typo.
