If Chaotica has the goal of producing the same output as flam3/ Apophysis, then it must implement the same formulas, including any errors. This could be done by copying the GPL code, or by reimplementing these algorithms from scratch. Do you have any evidence that they did the former? > and if anything can be done about it.
