no they did_not_ find a "work-around to remove the GPL". they are
NOT the copyright holders of the code that was completely clean-room
re-implemented, therefore they have NO LEGAL BASIS for REMOVING any
license UNDER ANY circumstances.
Are saying that Google couldn't remove the ASL from Harmony, which was
incorporated into Dalvik? Ok, I'll agree with that; I don't agree that
Google did everything else in a clean-room. It's notable that they
don't make such defense in their appeal to the SCOTUS.
