Was GNU a clean-room implementation of Unix? Was the Unix API unique
and creative? If the answers are "no, yes, yes" then ya got me: I
give. Not because I'm wrong, but because, to justify what was done
years ago, the FSF, as an organization, would be unable to reverse
course and will never budge on this issue to protect that legacy. Which
is unfortunate. In that case, I would suggest to you that you're
cutting off your nose to spite your face.
