Hi Brian,

Thanks for the response.

I made the change and I'm still getting an error. From my eclipse .log file;

!MESSAGE An internal error occurred during: "leJOS firmware download".
!STACK 0
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: close
        at josx.rcxcomm.Tower.close(Native Method)
        at josx.rcxcomm.Tower.closeTower(Tower.java:62)

        at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:76)

Which says to me that the java running Eclipse can't find the native method.

I then copied the libjirtrcx.jnilib (os x version of a dynlib for java) to my extensions directory so it could be found by java. Well that enabled the 'auto quit feature' (i.e. Eclipse crashes :) when the download firmware button is hit.

Any one else seeing something similar?

Thanks again,

I think there is an error in the feature.xml file that you will find in the eclipse/features/org.lejos.ldt_1.2.0 directory. The version that was included when I downloaded ldt had the version for the org.lejos plugin set to 2.1.0. I set it to 1.2.0 and everything works. Before making the change, if you select Help->Software Updates->Manage Configuration in eclipse you will see an error indication and when you select Show Properties for leJOS Development Tools 1.2.0 and look at the Status pane, you will see that it can't find version 2.1.0 of the org.lejos plugin.

I haven't looked too closely at this yet to see if this is the real error. I'm a little befuddled by the fact that the feature is referring to plugin version 2.1.0, which is also the version number of the latest version of lejos on the sourceforge site. It might be possible that an update for the org.lejos package was conceived or packaged for the ldt distribution but it just didn't make it into the zip file, or something else.

Regards, Brian

Subject: [Lejos-discussion] eclipse plugin?

Hi All,

I'm having a hard time getting the eclipse plugin working with 3.1.1.

When I click the 'download firmware' button I just get an error, on looking into the log its unable to find the lejos.srec, that file is in the jtools.jar file in the plugin but the jar appears not be in the classpath.

Any ideas? Anyone able to make it work?

Thanks!
