Thanks for identifying that, Mattias. I removed the NedStat code so
there shouldn't be a problem anymore. Too bad we had to get rid of
that because the stats went back quite a while.
Anyone have a spare account to Google Analytics? They still aren't
accepting new accounts.

I guess Tim is right here - the pop ups appear in a Linux's Mozilla
also, and the "General terms of service" of Webstats4u.com
(http://www.webstats4u.com/terms/) hosting the counter do explicitely
state in ยง1:
"Some of the Products and Services are supported by advertising,
enabling WMS to provide them to you at no cost. When you use these
free services, you agree to allow WMS to display advertising,
including third party advertising, through the Products and
Services"
Hence, either we accept the ads or we abandon the counter.
I'd favor the latter, for the advantage of having some stats here
(we have the download stats on the project page still, haven't we?)
does not outweigh the drawback of getting these pretty annoying
pop-ups (as for me, I consider pages that bring up such stuff rather
suspicious and try to avoid visiting them...).
Cheers,
Matthias

I suppose the pop-up ads are generated by the nedstatbasic script
at the bottom of the page. So we have to remove the counter if we
don't want any advertisement.

I just updated the home page to reflect the NXT announcement and
how it might affect leJOS. Also, I put an interim FAQ in place,
though it obviously isn't as in depth as the Wiki one was.
BTW Are those "You are 100,000,000 winner" pop-up ads coming from
Sourceforge? If so, that might be a good reason to move the
lejos.org home page to another server. I think I might have room
on another server if that's the cause.
