Is Lejos 3.0 supposed to run on a RCX 1.0 brick? When I attempt to execute firmdl or firmdl -f to an RCX 1.0 brick using a USB tower.
The first time I tried this, the file downloaded (so the commandline indicated), however I got an error saying that the firmware failed to unlock. Subsequently, the RCX would not respond to the tower. I then reinstalled the original Lego firmware, to return the brick to a known good state, which worked. I then attempted to download the Lejos firmware, and it crashed the RCX somewhere in the middle of the download. And the RCX won't respond to the tower.
