I think "gleam in the eye" would be a correct description. More seriously, I don't think much will happen before LEGO releases the hardware description and firmware in August. Writing device drivers independently would be duplicate work, so I guess people are waiting for it. Personally I'm a bit undecided, but I have too little time to do much in the meantime. If somebody else wants to pick up an NXT beginning of July and work on it I certainly can help. Otherwise my priority will be general Linux support for NXT. As a background, in the MDP we now have a preliminary version of the hardware docs, which contains sufficient info to write drivers also for the motors, which was the problem previously. Unfortunately I can't share that, as I didn't discover it independently. The hardware info I can share is at http://www.jstuber.net/lego/nxt-hardware.ps.gz http://www.jstuber.net/lego/index.html Cheers Jürgen -- Jürgen Stuber <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.jstuber.net/ gnupg key fingerprint = 2767 CA3C 5680 58BA 9A91 23D9 BED6 9A7A AF9E 68B4 _______________________________________________ Lejos-discussion mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lejos-discussion
