Hi folks, At http://legoeducation.typepad.com/blog/2006/03/education_extra.html, Lego says that even with their converter cables, an RCX will not be able to work with NXT sonar or sound sensors, although touch and light sensors work fine. They say that it's a software limitation in Robolab keeping the sonar and sound sensors from working with the RCX. Is this true for the lejos software stack or just Lego's? Would one of the existing lejos sensor-types work or would a patch be needed to the lejos firmware to handle the sonar/sound sensors?
I can't afford to replace my lab's Mindstorm kits with the NXT versions. The NXT Sensors are much less expensive than 3rd party ultrasonic sensors for example, and I could reuse them when we can afford the new hardware.
