Lawrie,

Moved C:\Program Files\Java\lejos_nxj
To C:\lejos_nxj

Changed Lejos_Home
to C:\lejos_nxj

CMD:
CD C:\lejos_nxj\samples\Tune
        lejoslink Tune -o Tune.bin
                C:\lejos_nxj\samples\Tune>echo off
                Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.NoClassDefFounderror:
                        org/apache/commons/cli/ParseException
                                at
js.tinyvm.TinyVM.<init><TinyVM.java:46>
                                at js.tinyvm.TinyVM.main<TinyVM.java:30>

OK, now what? At least I'm getting a DIFFERENT error. It seems to have
found the necessary 3dparty\lib files even tho there ISN'T a folder
called c:\lejos_nxj\3rdparty\lib. Should there be, or is the
C:\lejos_nxj\lib sufficient?

Jim

Hi Jim,

Yes, lejoslink is necessary to compile and link your own programs, and
it needs the jar files in c:\lejos_nxj\3rdparty\lib.

I think the problem is that you have installed lejos into c:\Program
Files\Java and the lejoslink.bat file is not copying the the space in
"Program Files". I thought we had fixed these problems with putting
quotes around strings in the .bat files, but it looks like we missed
one.

The simplest solution is to install lejos into a directory without a
space in its name.

  Subject: [Lejos-discussion] 3dParty\lib missing

  Dear Lejos:

  When following the directions in
  C:\Program Files\Java\lejos_nxj\README.html
that came with LeJOS, and trying the "Compiling and running your first
code" section I get the following error message:

  C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe

  C:\Program Files\Java\lejos_nxt\samples\Tune>lejoslink Tune -o
Tune.bin

              C:\Program Files\Java\lejos_nxt\samples\Tune>echo off

              Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
Files\Java\lejos_nxj\3rdparty\lib\bcel-5/1/jar;C\Program

Apparently there's supposed to be a 3d party software library
somewhere. Where can I find this? Is this even necessary as the
sample program ran without it?
Thanks,
Jim Phelan
