I have a wonderful Indigo Clamshell iBook (Paris - Firewire/366MHz)
with a high resolution screen from a later generation iBook.

Specs:
1024x768 12" Screen (up from 800x600 stock)
40GB Samsung Hard Drive (up from 10 stock)
Combo Drive (up from CD ROM)
320MB RAM (up from 128 stock)
Airport Card
Running 10.4.11 very well
Modem, 10/100 Ethernet, USB 1.1, Firewire and Audio/Video Out ports
Super Bright Blue Power-LEDs (stock - very dim puke green)
Glowing Apple (stock Apple doesn't glow)

I have owned this iBook for just over a year now. It has worked
marvelously as a web surfer, homework machine and portable picture
viewer. It's previous life was spent on a desk in a local school
district teacher's hands. It is and was well taken care of in a smoke
free environment. The new MacBooks have caught my eye, so I'd like to
pass this on to a new home.

I performed all of the upgrades together, so the treacherous
disassembly and reassembly was only performed once.

The LCD was taken from a graphics-failed snow iBook and installed to
up-res the screen. It boots in 800x600 with apple appearing in the
upper left hand corner, but assumes 1024x768 at OS X start up.

The Optical Drive must be manually pulled out when ejected because a
spring flew out one day and I have not found it such an inconvenience
to fix it.

The notebook supports up to 576MB RAM. 64MB being soldered on, and a
low density 512MB stick installed. Currently it has a 256MB stick
which works wonderfully. Price has been a limiter on this aspect of
the machine.

I couldn't stand the ugly green glow of the Sleep LED, so I changed
them both to super bright blue. Both inner and outer LEDs light when
sleeping.

I disconnected all DC In Board LEDs because I was going to replace
them with blue and white LEDs. I didn't receive the shipment in time,
so I reassembled the computer without any LEDs. I personally like it
without light because when working at night, the DC In charging lights
were distracting. You can still see if it's charging when booted by
the power icon in the menu bar.

The battery lasts approximately ten minutes in my experience. When
asleep after a full charge, it will last days. This replacement has
also been limited by price.

Thank you for taking the time to read the post and please reply off-
list with any inquiries at your soonest convenience.
